It occurred to me that I never posted about this…I have an essay in the new Tin House on former Red Sox and Expos pitcher Bill “The Spaceman” Lee, one of baseball’s greatest philosophers and players. Lee is my kinda professional athlete, never afraid to be himself and speak his mind. Of course, it cost him his career in the majors, but at least Warren Zevon wrote a song about him. Is there another pro athlete out there who can say the same? Nope.

While I’m at it, huge thanks to Brian DeLeeuw, Rob Spillman, and Cheston Knapp at Tin House for making this piece such a pleasure to write.
